Item 1. Constitution update

At the 2026 Annual General Meeting, a proposed revised Constitution (via this link ) is tabled for approval.  The QLD Government, via the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), provides Model Rules to be used by Incorporated Associations (like our club) to assist clubs to provide a consistent governance framework for the conduct of club operations. The Model Rules require only minor modification by each Incorporated Association, and those specific to our club are highlighted in yellow in the linked document. This new Constitution, if approved, will bring us up to date with the latest governance mechanisms articulated through the latest OFT Model Rules.  We will be seeking approval of this constitution at the AGM and ask that you read through the document in advance, with a view to attending the AGM to approve the proposed constitution so that it can subsequently submitted to the QLD Office of Fair Trading for formal agreement.
