Come & Try Day – Terms of Registration
By registering for the Padres All Ages Come & Try Day, participants and/or their parent or legal guardian acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Participation
The Come & Try Day is an introductory softball event designed to provide participants with the opportunity to experience and enjoy softball in a safe and welcoming environment. No previous softball experience is required.
2. Registration & Consent
Participants must be registered prior to participating in the event. For participants under 18 years of age, registration and consent must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
3. Health & Safety
Participants must advise event organisers of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies or other circumstances that may affect their ability to participate. Participants are expected to follow all reasonable instructions provided by coaches, officials and event organisers.
4. Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge that participation in sporting activities involves inherent risks, including the possibility of injury. By registering, participants and/or their parent or legal guardian acknowledge these risks and agree to participate responsibly.
5. Appropriate Clothing & Equipment
Participants should wear suitable sports clothing and enclosed athletic footwear. Where possible, participants are encouraged to bring their own glove; however, equipment may be available for use during the session.
6. Photography & Video
Photographs and/or video may be taken during the event for promotional and social media purposes. Any applicable photography and media consent provided during registration will be respected.
7. Weather & Event Changes
The event is subject to weather and ground conditions. Padres Softball reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel the event where necessary to ensure the safety of participants.
8. Code of Conduct
All participants, parents, guardians and spectators are expected to behave respectfully towards coaches, volunteers, officials and other participants and to contribute to a positive and inclusive environment.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By completing registration, the participant and/or their parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Registration.
