Weekend Run/Walk Details

What you need to know when attending our weekend run and walk sessions.

All weekend sessions cater to individuals of varying fitness levels and abilities. These gatherings are typically social, welcoming both runners, walkers and rollers followed by the opportunity to stay for coffee and chats.  Whether you prefer running or walking, feel free to choose the distance that suits you best.  We're here to enjoy being active in a fun, inclusive and safe space.

All our weekend sessions start with:

  • A welcome circle

  • An Acknowledgement of County

  • Club announcements and

  • A round of names before heading off for a run or walk.

We know it can sometimes be daunting turning up for the first time and meeting a bunch of strangers, so we recommend anyone attending for their first time to arrive 5-10 minutes earlier than the stated start time.  Everyone at the club is friendly and will make you feel welcome.  We will also help buddy you up with someone on your first run with us.

Personal Belongings

We recommend leaving valuables at home.   Saturdays you can generally leave clothing at a communal spot, but the club does not take responsibility for any stolen items.  Occasionally, a member may have a car close by to leave items in.

Bring your dog

All of our weekend locations are dog-friendly, although some cafes we frequent may not always allow pets. If you are running, walking, or rolling with your dog, please keep them on a short leash.
