Work in Progress!

Hi all.

This website is under development. We will keep you informed as facilities become available.

The MCMS committee is looking at this RevSport system to maintain our membership base and provide a number of admin tools for the management of our shed. We are also looking at this system so it is easier to transition for new committee members in the future. This is at a cost of less than $100 p.a. for our shed. So we hope to achieve the following:

  • A common "cloud" based system where membership information is stored in a private and secure manner. This system is already used by a number of sporting and community organisations throughout Australia. The data is potentially much more secure than having spreadsheets duplicated on various committee and personal computers in our community.

  • We will be confident that there is a single source of membership information that can be maintained by the committee or by the members themselves. Note this information can only be accessed by committee members and various  other pages on our web site can be secured so that only members have access. (If you have a personal Facebook page then you have probably already given away more information than will be available on our  MCMS web site).

  • An area where all members can access documents and procedures relevant to the running  of our shed and the safety of all members.

  • A single site where we can access galleries and documents outlining the history of our shed.

  • The potential for an on-line shop with full on-line payments. At a minimum (even if we do not need this facility for the moment) this provides a place where our work can be displayed to the community and members.

  • Various financial tools and reporting - including easy membership invoicing. We aim to make the roles for treasurers and secretaries as easy as possible in the future. So YOU can volunteer at some point!

  • The RevSport admin section (which is secured to only committee members) provides incident and injury reporting facilities that helps with shed governance and risk management. The committee not only has a duty of care to our members but various legal requirements.
