Are you a teen/adult that knows how to sail and just want to get out on the water with some friends and participate in some friendly competition?

On selected Sunday's, you can hire one of our Pacers dinghies to sail around a short course under the guidance of a rescue boat or go for a leisurely sail to practice your skills, go on a picnic with the family, or just enjoy being out on the water. You can make it as serious or as fun as you want. Don’t have a crew or skipper? We can help you find one!

Dates available:
October: Sunday 9, 16, 23, 30
November: Sunday 6, 13, 20, 27
December: Sunday 11
January: Sunday 22, 29

February: Sunday 5, 26

March: Sunday12, 26

Time: Sundays Registrations will be open from 10am - 12..30pm

Price: Casual Pass $40 per boat with 2 persons or $100 for 3x Sunday Package. Register and pay by signing in with the QR code. Club membership required after 3 sesssions.

Requirements: All: swim 50m and water confident. Skipper: have sailing experience to rig, launch, tack, gybe, capsize, and sail all points of sail (upwind, downwind, reach) unsupervised in a maximum of 15 knots of wind, Australian Sailing Number

Register: Click 'register' above. ALL participants must register separately. You will be directed to the Australian Sailing website to sign up for an 'AS Number'.

Bring: Please wear comfortable light weight clothes that can get wet, water bottle and adequate sun protection.  Life jackets will be provided by the club on arrival.

Unfavourable weather: MBSC reserves the right to cancel Dinghy HIre and reschedule your booking or issue a refund.

Location: Mounts Bay Sailing Club is situated in Crawley, near the University of WA, only 5 kms from the City and easily accessed from Stirling Hwy. MBSC is an accredited Discover Sailing Centre as part of 'Australian Sailing'.

Who should do this course?

This is the perfect 'taster' for anyone who wants to discover sailing for the first time. This is the perfect introduction and can be the ideal way for you to begin your sailing journey, without having to commit to a full training course.

Course Outcome

Following the course, you will receive a completion certificate.

 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here
