This RYA accredited, 5 Day competent crew/day skipper sailing course starts and finishes  at Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach.

The first night is spent on board in the marina, ready for an early start the next morning.

The yacht has 8 berths, two double aft cabins, two berths in the saloon, and a double berth in the forepeak (usually skipper / instructor's cabin)

We spend 3 nights at anchor on one of the many islands. and a night in a marina berth to allow for some berthing practice, and also to have access to the marina facilities for a bit of luxury.

All meals are included, except in the marina where good meals and pizza are available close by.

On the last day of the course we are normally back in the marina by mid afternoon to allow time to complete the paperwork. We then have a celebratory drink at one of the local bars.

Pre-course requirement

As a prerequisite for this practical dayskipper course, RYA dayskipper theory course is required or have knowledge equivalent to this level. The minimum pre-course experience required is five days sailing and living onboard, 100 miles logged and four hours night sailing.
