Well, what a ride!
I slept well that night. The weather was perfect for this time of year— a bit dusty, but I wasn’t affected much. The tracks were awesome. With around 220 km of level 3 and a bit of level 4, I feel everyone had a great ride.

Before we reached Noojee, Treve pressured us into tackling a level 4 section — and I’m glad he did, because we all ended up enjoying it. The smile was on all of our faces with the great tracks we were riding.

We arrived in Noojee at lunch for a well‑earned break to refuel for the afternoon session. Luke left us at this stage for a cold beer at home.

The afternoon ride seemed to go on forever, and we ended up pulling the pin with about 20 km still to go. We were all knackered and knew we’d had a solid day on the bike. We needed to get home for a beer and to clear our lungs of the dust we inhaled.

Thanks to Treve and Alan B for sharing the sweep duties and copping the bulk of the dust.
A good day, great tracks, and a decent bunch of Madcatters.

Thanks to all who attended: Trevor B, Alan B, Luke C, and Graham W.
