JK’s Corner - Week 14

With just 3 weeks to go in the first season of 2022, Oldies are still leading the league with 90 points. School Daze is only 3 points back on 87 while Swannies are continuing their late season charge in third on 82.

Swannies came away with a good 7-5 win over Two Can Tango in a very high quality match. For Two Can Tango, Michael Horrowitz bowled a nice last game of 136 (22 over avg). Tomer Aston however took Star Bowler of the Week both Game and Series with a 454 series (103 over avg) with three great games of 176, 126 & 152 (59, 9 & 35 over avg). For Swannies, Justin Kennedy bowled two over average games of 212 & 199 (18 & 5 over avg) while Ronnie Lang continued his red hot form with a 239 & 235 (39 & 35 over avg) in games two and three to take the win. Game 3 also finished in a very high scoring 457-457 draw.

School Daze came away with a 6-3 win over Mean Machine. Bowling on his own for School Daze, Howard Baram saved his best for last with a 198 (29 over avg) in the last game. Mark Katz on his own for Mean Machine bowling a nice 162 (20 over avg) in the second game.

Highland Warriors had a nice 6-2 win over Schmootz. For Highland Warriors both Howard Silver and Peter Jablonka bowled their one good game in the last with a 177 (40 over avg) and a 212 (49 over avg). The team handicap game of 496 is the new high game of the year and a big congrats to both on a great performance. For Schmootz, Harry Sussman was just about on average for all three games, a model of consistency.

Bubba Zeida was bowling against themselves this week and came away with 8 points. Phillip Levy all on his own bowled two over average games with an outstanding 182 (24 over avg) in the first the highlight.

The Incredibles also were bowling against themselves and came away with 6 points. Dina Kremer bowled a nice 101 which was 16 pins over average in the first game.

The Mighty Underdogs came away with a good 7-4 win over Blue Heelers. For The Mighty Underdogs, Natai Hanouka bowled a nice 198 (11 over avg) in the second game while Ari Baram bowled two very nice games in the second and third of 197 & 194 (45 & 42 over avg). For Blue Heelers, Michael Eisenstein bowled a great 191 (52 over avg) in the second game while Naomi Baram bowled a nice 169 (15 over avg) in the second game as well.

Rolling Stones were bowling against themselves this week and came away with 2 points. Brian Doobov bowling on his own bowled a nice 156 (6 over avg) in the first game.

Oldies continue to keep the lead at the top of the ladder with a nice 7-3 win over The Lads. For The Lads, Roy Zurnamer bowled a nice 91 (11 over avg) in the last game while Nathan Radzevicius bowled a very nice 121 (28 over avg) in the last game as well. For Oldies, Patricia Levy bowled a nice second game of 145 (23 over avg) and with Raymond Meinrath bowling solid throughout were able to take the win.

Let’s Roll were also bowling against themselves this week and produced the only perfect result of 10 points this week. Danny Hough bowled all three games over average of 124, 132 & 156 (4, 12 & 36 over avg) while Alexander Itzkowitz bowling a nice 117 (16 over avg) in the first.
