La Trobe UBL teams are classified as a performance sport where athletes are selected based upon their level of experience and current playing level through trials. 

The competition from August to October will see universities battle it out in venues across Australia, including our very own La Trobe Sports Stadium. 

To be considered eligible to play in the La Trobe University UBL team, you must play at one of the following levels:

• NBL
• WNBL
• NBL1
• Big V

If you are currently playing in one of the above competitions and wish to be looked at for selection for the 2026 UBL Men & Women's teams, you MUST attend ONE of the two trial dates below, both to be held at La Trobe Sports Stadium in Bundoora:

Men’s Trials:

• Trial 1:
• Wednesday 22^nd April 8am – 9:30am
• Trial 2:
• Wednesday 29^th April 8am – 9:30am

Women’s Trials:

• Trial 1:
• Monday 20^th April 8am – 9:30am
• Trial 2:
• Friday 1^st May 8am – 9:30am

Whilst attendance at ONE trial is compulsory to be looked at for selection, it is advised you attend BOTH trial dates to have a greater chance at being looked at for selection by the Coach. 

*if you have class or placement during these times,  please reach out to Emily Harbrow e.harbrow@latrobe.edu.au - If you have work committments, you will need to rescuedue work to be considered. Trials are planned early in the morning to allow students to get to Uni and work after.
