The Homeplate program is Softball Australia’s Club and Association recognition program established to recognise Clubs and Associations for implementing best practice governance, management as well as membership growth and retention.
Lilydale Ejays continued to push to build their communities following a difficult period for local sport throughout the last 12 months.
Clubs reaching Homeplate include:
- Lilydale Ejays, Knox Association – 119pts
- Hawks Fastpitch, Werribee Association – 110pts
- Saints, Northern Tasmania Association – 109pts
- Eastern Raiders, Waverley Association – 85pts

In place since 2016, the Homeplate Program has provided grassroots Clubs and Associations guidelines on ensuring best practices are achieved in the development of their communities.
Moving forward, the Homeplate Program will be replaced by Sport Australia’s wider Club Development program Game Plan.
