Registration FAQs
When do Registrations open?
Registrations will open on Sunday 3 August 2025 at 10am.
Which is the correct age group for my child?
We cater for Tiny Tots (2021), and all age groups 6-20. Age grouping is determined by the year in which your child is born.
How much does it cost to register, and what is included in the fees?
Little Athletics offers great value! Our fees for the 2025/26 season cover:
- All Saturday Competitions from September to March
- General Skills Training on Wednesday afternoons (all ages)
- Specialist training (9s and above)
- Club competition singlet
- Personal Best Tracking and online access to results
- Access to Zone, Region and State Championships
- No volunteer bond - just volunteer when you can
Fees for Tiny Tots are $156, all other ages (6-20)are $250 for the entire season.
We are a not for profit organisation and invest all our fees back into the facilities, equipment and athletes. We are further supported financially by sponsors who ensure we are able to provide high quality athletics opportunities for our members.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes! We offer a discount for families that register 3 or more children. The registration will be reduced to $210 per child (instead of the standard $250) if 3 or more children are registered in the same transaction under a common parent.
What documents are required?
If you are new to Little Athletics, proof of age is required. You will need to show a Birth Certificate or Passport when you pick up your registration pack prior to the first competition.
Can we trial before we register?
Athletes are welcome to enjoy a two-week free trial at our competition meets. Trial membership is only open to athletes who have not previously been a member of a Little Athletics Club. If the athlete wishes to compete on a subsequent week, they must officially register as a pid member. The trail list will open when registrations open. Please note that registered athletes will be given priority over trialists if our registration volumes are significant, which is often the case in younger age groups.
When does competition start, and how do we get ready?
Our first competition will take place on Saturday, September 13 2025. Competition numbers and age patches will be distributed in advance of this date. We will email you about the process for picking these up.
How flexible is attendance? What if we miss a Saturday?
We understand families juggle many commitments. While regular attendance helps athletes improve and stay connected, there’s no penalty for missing a week. Events are individual, and participation is flexible.
We live outside the Ku-ring Gai area, can we still join?
Yes! KLAC welcomes out of area athletes, especially if our programs, facilites or training days better suit your needs. You're not restricted by post-code, choose what's best for your family.
