Attitude and Behaviour Requirements: Having the skill and ability does not make you a well-rounded athlete. Athletes such as Tom Slingsby and Nathan Outteridge have developed themselves into world class sailors from respect. They are respectful to themselves and to everyone else around them and in return people respect them.
Attitude is a massive attribute to any sport. It can be positive or negative. At the end of the day you may display excellent sailing on the water, but how you carry yourself in regards to your attitude and respect, will be long remembered after a championship win.
Expectations for all fleets, and everyone involved within the sport of sailing at KBSC is to be respectful to yourself and to others. We are all a part of the sailing club because we enjoy the sport of sailing. |
