Dear Members
We are now happy to share with you a pathway initiative that Judo Australia have brought to life following their stakeholder engagement, and approach to increasing participation in our sport.
To enhance the development of athletes and coaches in towns and cities across the length and breadth of Australia they have appointed Ivica Pavlinic and Nathan Katz as their new Regional Pathway Development Coaches.
Both have extensive experience in performance judo, are incredibly engaging and effective in their coaching ability and an impeccable feel and knowledge of the Australian judo landscape from grassroots to high performance - and how to help our judoka get there.
Ivica will be looking after South Australia as part of his portfolio.
With these new roles, JA is committed to working with each jurisdiction as they lean deeper and further into the pathway model to provide more targeted support to all judo practitioners around the country. The Regional Pathway Development Coaches will support athlete development, coaching education, and high-performance initiatives in their respective states.
As part of the work Ivica will be doing he will be visiting clubs in our State, and delivering training and educational opportunities locally.
Regards
JudoSA
