Adelaide International Open (AIO)

Get ready, Judoka! The Adelaide International Open returns on Saturday, 23 August 2025 at The Lights Community and Sports Centre – and it's set to be one of the biggest Judo showdowns in South Australia this year.

Whether you're chasing national ranking points or testing your skills against top competitors from across Australia, the AIO is your stage.

Kata Judge Training Workshop

Sunday 24 August 2025 (the day after the AIO)

This free Kata Judge training is open to all and run by Ernie Wakamatsu, National Kata Committee Chair of Judo Australia.

It will be held at The Lights (Venue) on Court 2 from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

Kata Master Classes

Astrid Machulik Sixth Dan will get your kata up to scratch, held at AUJC

Friday      15th August     4.00 pm – 8.00 pm Ju no Kata
Saturday 16th August 10.00am – 5.00 pm Nage no Kata (All Belts!)
Sunday 17th August.   9.00am – 1.00 pm Katame no Kata (Brown and Black Belts)
Sunday 17th August.  1.30 pm – 5.00 pm Kime-no-Kata (Self Defence)

Australian Masters Games

Shiai and Kata on 13 October 2025

Judo has officially been added to the Australian Masters Games, and Ni Bonchi Judo Club in Canberra is proudly hosting this exciting event.

Changes to Events Calander

There have been some changes to the JudoSA events calendar comprising:

  • Adding the Coaches ‘Day Out’ Course on 10/8/2025; and
  • Changing the Schools Judo Competition from 1/11/2025 to 8/11/2025.
