Saltwater Veterans Regatta

Hosted by the Jervis Bay Cruising Yacht Club

Thank you for consdering registering to attend our inaugural Saltwater Veterans Regatta. This regatta is being held to support the Saltwater Veterans, an organisation that encourages sick and injured veterans to experience the fun and exhilaration of sailing. Veterans will be allocated as crew on board the registered vessels for the regatta and compete in the races.

 

What to expect

Fun and games both on and off the water!

Two races will be held over the event. On Friday the 27th of January we will hold a sprint race across the bay and back. No handicaps and no spinnakers. Just a flat out broad reach! Exhilarating and fun.

On Saturday the 28th of January we will be holding the Saltwater Veterans Cup. This is a round the bay race, taking in the beautiful surrounds of Jervis Bay. A chance to test out your sailing skills whilst experiencing one of the best sailing waters Australia has to offer.

Jervis Bay Brewing co will be serving up a bar in our club house for the duration of the event. This will be the venue for our evening get togethers.

Thursday night will be a meet and greet at the club house, over a couple of beers or wines. A food truck will be available for a meal if you wish.

Friday morning will be breakfast and check in. All registered competitors must check in prior to the race briefing at 9.30am.

Breakfast will be provided.

Friday evening will be more socialisation and presentation for the sprint race.

Saturday morning will be another breakfast followed by a race briefing for the round the bay race.

Both races will commence at 11am. More details about the races will follow.

Saturday night will be the round the bay race presentation and dinner.
