Ipswich Dragon boat club welcomes Walloon State school year 5 students.

After the bus drops the students off at Cribb Park North Ipswich we will set everyone up with life jackets and paddles. 

We will go over the safety aspects of dragon boating and teach the students the basics before heading onto the water for some fun. 

We look forward to having the year 5 students and their teachers on board our mighty dragon boat having fun, roaring down the Bremer River. 

Essentials are 

• Hat
• Drink bottle 
• Sunscreen 
• Spare clothes ( there may some splashing as students learn the basics) 
• Shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Students may need to step into ankle deep water to get on to the boat. 
• Plastic bag (for your wet shoes if required) 

Life jackets are mandatory and supplied by Ipswich Dragon Boat Club . 

Coach Angela Perry and Mikkie Aram will be on a boat each making sure that everyone is safe whilst having a good time. 

Dragon boating is an excellent sport for young people with opportunities to represent Queensland each year
