Your membership levies create volleyball here in the Hunter and we love seeing you around the courts - grass, sand, or floorboard - and invite you to join our growing volleyball community for the season ahead!  Memberships are valid to 31 January 2026.

Every HV membership includes a new Facility Levy which is contributing to our major fundraising program to develop secure places to play for our immediate and long term future.

In 2025/26 we are inviting family members and supporters of the passionate volleyballer in your family unit to join as a Non-Playing member of Hunter Volleyball.  You are also an important part of our community helping us to grow through word of mouth, advocacy, and sideline support! HV Committees Need Your Ideas

Fundraising Subcommittee:  Lead by Vice President Jordan Maxwell, this is a committee of lights, camera, action!  Join the brainstorming and prioritisation of some engaging fundraising events this year to boost the association's funds for developing places to play.

Facility Subcommittee: Lead by Treasurer Rebecca Boresch, this is a research and documentation committee seeking information about the best options to pursue for securing places to play for HV in the immediate future, to avoid the uncertainty of annual, third party venue hire, and guarantee access to space to deliver programs for all, and in which HV can grow to its full potential!

See the new Subcommittee Terms of Reference and contact the respective Chairperson to join the conversation and positive actions in 2025.

Hunter Volleyball Committee: The Hunter Volleyball Inc. AGM is on Tuesday 1st April. Save the Date! We'll review the 2024 season, take stock of our current position, and look ahead to our future.  Your voice is needed to guide the culture, programs, and future of this association.  Join us for pizza and a chat.  The Notice of Motion and 2024 Annual Report will be sent shortly.

Venues Update

The new Ready Set Spike! program is up and running at PCYC Lake Macquarie and Maitland High School with 59 juniors across both venues learning the fundamentals and getting a glimpse of their future teammates as they skil-up for the future. Our coaching team for Term 1 is Dani, Suka, Michelle, Zack and Hannah!

We've got five adult teams competing on Wednesday nights in Maitland in our newest Mixed Recreational Competition.  It's been great to meet so many new players from the area forming up into teams and enjoying some mid-week volleyball.  Check out some pics from Charles' Media taken last week.

Thanks to Charles for taking these awesome photos last week at Lake Mac and Maitland venues.  Pics from Maitland's Ready Set Spike! will be coming next week, so keep an eye on our socials!

We are proposing to hold the 2025 JVL Team Trials on this day in anticipation of having an announcement about the new venue and the JVL Season Dates!  More information will be shared via the Juniors website and HV Socials.

Over the past few weeks we've been excited as we watch the creative suggestions rolling in, after we invited suggestions for the potential name of our HV Senior Representative program teams.

As we consider the Hunter's unique landscapes, economic contributions, culture and lifestyle, we are searching for a name which aligns with our senior men's and women's teams, instils a sense of purpose, passion and performance when representing the Hunter in tournaments both here and interstate.

Your ideas are welcome too, so drop your suggestions in before the online portal closes on 15th March!
