The Junior Volleyball League is the next level above Junior Social Competitions, and it's where you can extend your experience as a player and referee, while making friends, and having a blast this season.

We are conducting Trials for players to be selected in one of our four teams—Sharks, Sunbirds, Panthers, or Redbacks. This season is packed with trainings, games, fun scrimmages with the senior teams, and medal matches to finish the season strong!

Boys Trials Dates:

• Trial 1: Monday 20 April 2026, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at PCYC Lake Macquarie
• Trial 2: Monday 4 May 2026, 5:30 PM – 8.30 PM at PCYC Lake Macquarie (extended session)

The trials are totally FREE — no cost to come along and show what you've got!

Registrations for trials close Friday 1 May 2026 — so sign up soon!

Our coaches will select players in Teams evenly, so everyone matches up well—based on your skills, height, strengths, and good vibes, so that the whole competition is enjoyable and dynamic for everyone involved!

What to bring to Trials

• A drink bottle (bring plenty of water — stay hydrated!)
• Sports clothes that let you move freely
• Proper court shoes (non-marking indoor shoes are best, no casual sneakers like Cons or Vans)

Parking at PCYC Lake Macquarie — There's on-site parking available, plus street parking nearby. Just arrive a bit early in case it's busy.

Competition Season Mid-May to mid-August 2026 (about 13 weeks total, including trainings, games, and playoffs). Please review the full schedule (CLICK HERE) before attending trials; a printed copy will also be available at trials.

1. U18 Hunter Volleyball Membership (U18 Player Membership $80 +$3.27 transaction fees. Not payable until selected in a Team) 
2. Junior Volleyball League Player Fee — $385 incl GST and Includes 1 Playing shirt and 1 Training shirt!
3. Compulsory PCYC Membership - required if you're selected for a Team, to access this venue. U18 Junior Member $20 for 12 months
