Ready Set Spike! That's exactly what you can expect when you join our 8 week fundamental skills program, and learn the basics of volleyball. The program costs $155.00 incl GST per child (born 2011 - 2014) and includes a Ready Set Spike! tee shirt for weekly activities.
The programs runs 4.40 - 6.00pm each Monday.

SPIKE! over the net to score a point for your team
... then repeat! You've now got the skills you need to start playing volleyball.
Hunter Volleyball's experienced coaches will guide you as you learn all of the fundamental skills required to play this dynamic game, including:

You will learn a new skill every week through high repetition activities, and each week you'll join them together and keep working with your teammates, to create rallies, scoring opportunities, and find your volleyball voice on the court.

Register as an U18 Hunter Volleyball Member. Your annual membership covers you for all volleyball activities we host indoor, on the beach, or in the park all the way through to 31/1/27.

From your Member profile, register for the 'Ready Set Spike! 15U (PCYC Lake Macquarie)' program. You can redeem your Active Kids Voucher for this program! Enter the voucher code during Registration. We need to manually redeem the voucher and the reduce your Invoice before you make your payment for the balance.

Sign up for a PCYC Junior Membership. This is a mandatory requirement for all participants attending NSW PCYC venues. It costs $20 and is valid for 12 months. You can also do this online before coming on Monday the 9th when you collect your PCYC membership tag.

What happens when the Beginner program ends?
Our goal is to prepare you well during this intensive, beginner skills phase, so that you are ready for the next challenge, the Junior Social Competitions (9 week season). This involves using your skills to compete with full volleyball rules. You'll learn how to be a referee, a match scorer, a linesperson, and compete in games where the first to 25 points wins. You'll play a round robin competition with prizes for the top two teams at the end of the season.
