Round 2 Information

10-11 February 2024

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Sailing Club welcomes you to a great weekend of sailing!

Location

  • HKSC is nestled in one of Sydney’s unique river beaches – Dead Horse Bay, near Brooklyn, 2083.
  • Parsley Bay boat ramp on George St is the nearest road access point. Access is via boat or walking track only see here https://www.revolutionise.com.au/hksc/club-information/ for more information.

Arrival

  • On arrival to Parsley Bay you will be met by our friendly volunteeers, who will guide you to the Manly Junior drop off point.
  • Our team will help ensure that MJs are towed around to HKSC safely. One crew member will need to accompany the boat on the short trip – less than 5 minutes.
  • Parking is available in Parsley Bay, George Street or the top car park in McKell Park. Note that there is filming on for a major production which has impacted parking, this was meant to be finished before February but they love the river so much it has gone longer...
  • If you decide to walk the bush track to HKSC > leave your gear with us and we will transport it to HKSC. The bush track is well defined and  can be reached by walking 500 meters around the headland with a spectacular view of our sailing area within Broken Bay.

Accomodation/Dining

Brooklyn has several options for accomdation/dining including:

Houseboats are a good option for groups and make an excellent spectator platform during the day. We recommend our friends at Brooklyn Marina who are great supporters of our Club and have a good range of quality boats. Mention HKSC to get the best possible rates for the weekend. There are quiet and protected anchorages close to HKSC and houseboat rental rates include a small tender.

There's some awesome accommodation options nearby at Brooklyn, Dangar Island, Wobby Beach.

We hope you have a great time at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Sailing Club and look forward to seeing you!
