Teen & Adult Beginners Sailing Course - Dinghy
Dinghies are small sailing boats and a great way for teenagers and adults to get into sailing. The Australian Sailing Program has been developed to provide a safe introduction to dinghy sailing. All equipment including the boats and life jackets are provided by the Club and all training is run by Australian Sailing qualified instructors. No previous experience is necessary – you will learn all of the basics.
Participants must be water confident and aware that capsize drills are a part of the Start Sailing Syllabus
Attendees: min 6 to participants to proceed with course
Member: $ 332.00 + Aus Sailing & Merchant Fees
Non Member: $385.00 + Aus Sailing & Merchant Fees
To assist with the coordination of instructors and resources, early registration is encouraged, a LATE Fee of $20.00 applies if registration is completed after Sunday 3/01/2027.

Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 And Start Sailing 2 completion certificate.

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
