The Winter and Summer Series will be conducted in accordance with the Sailing Instructions and Calendar detailed in the HYC Dinghy Sailing Handbook. The HYC Dinghy handbook and calendar can be found on the Hillarys Yacht club website here Dinghy Sailing, or physcial copies can be requested.
Boat Usage:
Club boat hire for the 2026/27 season will be charged at $15 per active sailing week, invoiced directly to member accounts. This structure allows for sailors occasionally missing training or race days throughout the season, while still contributing fairly toward the maintenance and upkeep of the fleet. Pro-rata charges will apply for sailors joining throughout the season.
Use of an RS Quest must be arranged prior with Training and Development, along with completion of a Quest induction and signed user agreement. Use of a Quest will incur a fee of $20 per sailor per active sailing week. Where multiple crew are sailing together, the total fee may be discounted based on the number of sailors onboard.
For visiting sailors or one-off race participation, charges will either be invoiced directly to the member’s HYC account or, for non-members/visiting sailors, processed via RevSport.
**Boat usage is available for up to 1 year only, and sailors are strongly encouraged to purchase their own boat where possible. If a sailor purchases their own boat during the season, any remaining boat usage fees paid will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.**
