RIB Boat Experience - Education & Fun on the Water for all ages

1 hour of adventure

Some of the things you may experience:

• Check out the reef just off our Beach
• Check out the marker buoys used on race days
• Hopefully get to see some Marine life and learn about the variety of fish we have in our WA waters
• Pass by other Sail or Powered vessels
• Learn about the variety of flags other vessels may have on show and what they mean
• Experience the current and swell in the Ocean
• Experience the effect that the wind and sea has on the boat
• Observe Boat Handling Skills by our expert Instructors
• And finally a zoom around the Bay

Duration: 1 hour

Non-Member: $130 per person

Member: $120 per person

 

What to Wear and Bring

• Wear bathers, shorts and t-shirt or rashie, thongs and a hat. If it is cool, pop a thermal layer on underneath.
• Bring a spray or wind jacket that you can wear on the water.
• Bring a towel and change of clothes.
• Bring a drink bottle.
• Apply sunscreen before you arrive. We have sunscreen to reapply, otherwise please bring your own.
• All safety equipment will be supplied.

Parking

Parking on club grounds is usually reserved for members only however, should the gate be open, you may enter and park near the Junior Clubhouse. Alternatively, please make use of the free parking across the road and enter using the pedestrian gate (refer to map above).

COVID-19

Please continue to be COVID-19 aware and follow the guidelines below.

• If you are unwell, please let us know and we can reschedule you to another course.
• Maintain good hygiene and wash your hands regularly.
• Maintain social distancing of 1.5m.

• Friendly club members will be there to welcome you and answer questions

Prerequisite: For safety reasons, participants must be confident in and around the water.

By the end of the day, you’ll have:

• Experienced sailing firsthand
• Discovered the fun and community spirit of your local club
• Learned about exciting courses, activities, and ways to keep sailing
