Come & Try Softball!

Hornsby District Softball Association is inviting players, families and anyone curious about softball to come along to Hayes Park, Galston on Saturday 19 September 2026 for our Bring a friend round and Come and try round.

The day is open to boys and girls of all ages, whether they are new to softball, returning to the game, or simply interested in seeing what it is all about. No experience is needed, and everyone is welcome to come along, have a go and enjoy the friendly community atmosphere.

The come and try sessions will run throughout the day:

Under 10s - 8:30am
10-16s - 10am
17+ - 12pm
Senior ladies social - 4pm'

When you arrive, please head to the canteen to register your name and HDSA will direct you to find the team that's right for you!

Softball is a fun, safe and family-friendly sport with options for juniors, teenagers and adults. HDSA has a range of clubs and teams across different age groups and experience levels, so new players can be connected with a team that suits them.

All new registered players Under 12 will also recieve a fresh HDSA Starter Kit! The kit includes a glove, waterbottle, backpack, ball and voucher for Red Stitches!

Current players are also encouraged to bring a friend along. If the friend they bring registers to play, the HDSA player will receive a $10 canteen voucher.

The event will be held at Hayes Park, Galston on Saturday 19 September 2026. Families are encouraged to come down, meet the softball community and give the game a try.
