Turfball Participation Waiver and Acknowledgement

By registering for Turfball at Hale, I confirm that I have read and understood the details of the program and agree to the following terms:

1. Program Acknowledgement

• I understand that Turfball is a recreational sport played on turf using floorball-style equipment and rules.

• The program runs for 7 weeks, from Friday, 16rd October to Friday, 27th November 2026.

• I acknowledge that game times are allocated by age group but may shift based on registration numbers.

2. Team Registration

• I understand that registration is individual and I may nominate a team or be placed into one by the organisers.

• I acknowledge that teams are recommended to have 6–7 players, with 5 players on the field and unlimited interchange.

3. Equipment and Safety

• I understand that all required equipment and an umpire are provided as part of the registration fee.

• I acknowledge that plastic airballs are used, and the use of mouthguards and shinpads is optional.

4. Insurance Waiver

• I confirm that I have selected one of the following insurance options:

  • I am currently registered with a HockeyWA club, and am covered by their insurance policy.

  • OR I am not registered with a HockeyWA club, and I choose to:

    • Play at my own risk, without coverage,

    • OR purchase the Hockey Australia insurance levy (link provided at registration).

• I understand that by registering, I accept responsibility for my own insurance status and any risk associated with my choice.

5. Health and Participation

• I affirm that I (or the participant I’m registering) am in good health and physically able to participate in Turfball.

• I understand that while umpires may assist younger players with learning the game, participation is at my own (or my child's) risk.

6. Photography and Media

• I grant permission for photos or video taken during Turfball to be used by Hale Hockey for promotional purposes. (You may opt out by contacting turfball@halehockey.com.au.)

7. Code of Conduct

• I agree to participate in Turfball in the spirit of fun, safety, and sportsmanship.

• I understand that disrespectful, dangerous, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in removal from the competition without refund.

By completing registration and payment, I acknowledge and agree to the terms above.
