2025 GRSA ANNUNAL GENERAL MEETING

The 2025 GRSA Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 15 July 2025, at the GRSA Clubhouse, from 6.30pm for a 7.00pm commencement.
Elections will be held for the following positions of the 2025-2026 Board and Executive of GRSA:
- President
- Secretary (The Public Officer)
- Treasurer
- The Competition Manager
- The Representative Manager
- The Grounds & Facilities Manager
- The Development Manager
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Revenue Manager
- Assistant Secretary
- Sponsorship Manager
- Membership Manager
- Fundraising Coordinator
- Player Retention Manger
- Strategic Planning Manager
Nominations must be made in writing on the attached form and received by the Secretary by MONDAY, 7 July 2025. Nominations must be signed by the Member nominating for the position and two (2) other Members. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting. A Member may nominate for more than one position but may only be elected for one position.
Members entitled to vote may submit notices of motion for inclusion as special business at a General Meeting. All notices of motion must be submitted in writing to the Secretary at least seven (7) days (excluding receiving date and meeting date) before the General Meeting.
An Affiliate (Club) or Member may nominate any natural person for consideration for life membership of the Association. Please send your nomination in writing to be submitted to the Executive Committee at least seven (7) days before the Annual General Meeting. The Board shall have the sole discretion to approve this representation and, if approved, shall submit the same to the Annual General Meeting.
Our Constitution requires a quorum of 15 members representing at least 50% of affiliated clubs to attend the meeting. Please consider attending as each year we struggle to get people in the room. Time is wasted while we try to fill the quota. The meeting itself is usually over within an hour.

Please support our Association through your attendance and consider nominating yourself for a position on the GRSA Board or putting yourself forward for one of the minor roles. Taking on one of those minor roles will help lessen the load for others and will keep our sport alive at River.
For clarity, only the Board structure will be voted on at the AGM. All other roles (background volunteer roles) are awarded outside the AGM as Business as Usual (BAU). Nominations will still be accepted to fill any of the background volunteer roles prior to the AGM using the Nomination Form attached.
**We know that everyone is time poor. This is the reason for having many smaller roles. Please consider taking on a small role. You will receive training and guidance, and any costs associated with you completing this role will be paid for by the association. If you have a look at the position descriptions, there is a column that tells you how much time is expected for each role. **

Please email the Board that you wish to take on one of the smaller roles, and if you want a particular role, note the role's name. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discuss this.
