
GDHA wishes to extend our congratulations to our Open Womens rep team who took out the 2026 State Championship with a convincing 5-1 victory!
Our GDHA women travelled to Wollongong for the State Championships, featuring a strong mix of expreienced representative players alongside an exciting group of talented junior players. The team played 6 matches across three days and finished the tournament with a perfect record, winning all 6 games. Saturday's results saw the girls open their campaign with a convincing 6-1 victory over Orange, followed by a 2-0 win against NSB. On Sunday, the team continued it's winning form, defeating Lithgow 3-1 before overcoming North West 2-1. The finals were played on Monday. In the semi-final, GDHA faced Illawarra and produced a dominant performance to secure a 3-0 victory. The Gold medal match was against Sydney South, where the girls delivered an outstanding and composed team performance. GDHA claimed a 5-1 victory to be crowned Division 1 State Champions. Special recognition goes to Head coach Noddy Jones whose expertise and guidance was outstanding, and team managers Rach Croker and Jess Mills for their support thoughout the tournament. Congratulation to all the players on an impressive championship-winning performance!
