There will be an excellent mobile coffee van on site Sunday morning from 9am

SOUTHCOAST MARINE INTERCLUB REGATTA 2026
NOTICE OF RACE
1. ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The Organising Authority will be the Goolwa Sailing Club (GSC).
2. RULES
Each race in the Series will be governed by the Rules as defined in the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) except as altered by the GRYC standard Sailing Instructions.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
To be eligible, all boats must be members of Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club, Clayton Bay Boat Club or Goolwa Sailing Club. Each race in the Series is open to all boats which fit into the following Divisions:
• Division T Trailerable Yachts with spinnaker.
• Division F Trailerable Yachts without spinnaker
• Division Z OTB monohull dinghies (AS Yardstick > 95)
Note, division T and F can be substituted for T, trailerable yachts with rating above 0.XXX and F trailerable yachts below 0.XXX if number of participants necessitates this. This can be determined on the day by agreement of clubs before first briefing.
PLEASE NOTE: Once a boat has entered a division in a Series it must remain in that division for that Series. Boats shall enter a race in the Series by completing the individual race Entry Form and paying the appropriate fee;
4. SCHEDULE OF RACES
• Saturday 7th February: 3 races back-to-back, first warning signal 12:55 pm
• Sunday 8th February: 3 races back-to-back, first warning signal 10:55 am
A competitors’ briefing will be held at the GSC club room (Goolwa Aquatic Club) one hour prior to the first warning signal each day.
Prize giving will be held at GSC as soon as practicable following racing.
5. HANDICAPS
For yachts, GRYCMFR’s will be used, where possible. Where handicaps have not been published via GRYC, the GRYC will calculate ratings. Dinghies will use AS provided yardstick or GSC-supplied equivalent.
6. PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded at the end of each day at GSC for division place getters on GRYCMFR and YARDSTICK equivalent, in accordance with GRYC Sailing Instructions 27.3, or AS Yardstick for OTB dinghies.
7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

8. COURSES
A course description will be made available in the whiteboard in the clubroom at GSC prior to each race briefing.
9. SAFETY
Each race in the Series will be conducted as a Category 7 race under Australian Sailing Special Regulations Part 1. OTB dinghies will apply appropriate AS safety standards as applicable
10. DISCLAIMER
Competitors participate in the series entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The Organising Authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
11. INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of $10,000,000 (ten million dollars) per incident or the equivalent.
