The Oakland Renegades Dragonboat team puts on the Howl every year to bring established dragonboat clubs, corporate, and novice teams together for racing and fun. If you’re a new or novice team, these races are a great chance to practice your sport, compete against similar crews and rub shoulders with some of the salty, long time paddlers. Also, if you’ve been contemplating transitioning into a full time club, participating in fun and affordable races is an excellent way to help make that happen. Our goal is to help grow the sport in the Bay Area.
The fee for the day of racing, breakfast, lunch and entry to the after party is $1000 per adult mixed crew. For minors (17 years & under), the fee is $700 per crew. If you have less than 20 paddlers and would still like to register a crew, the fees are $50 per adult and $35 per minor. We’ll find paddlers to fill your boat. Refunds will be given in full if notification is given before the October 24 registration deadline. No refund will be given after that date.
