GCHA invites girls aged 8–12 years to register for the Souther Cross carnival, a fun one-day representative hockey event at Downey Park on Sunday 9^th of August 2026.

This is a fantastic introduction to representative hockey, giving players the opportunity to represent the Gold Coast, play a series of short games throughout the day, and compete against associations from across Queensland.

The carnival focuses on participation, enjoyment, skill development, and building confidence in a fun and supportive team environment. While scores are kept and a winning association is recognised, the emphasis is on learning, development, and creating positive hockey experiences.

GCHA is committed to including as many players as possible and will endeavour to place all nominated players into teams.

Trials and Training are held every Sunday from 28th June to 2nd August 2026 from 7.30am - 9am.
