The 2026/2027 summer hockey program offers people of all ages the chance to play hockey with friends - or make new friends.

It's ideal for beginners and ex-players who would like to give hockey a go, with a relaxed social focus.

The Hockey Geelong summer hockey season for 2026/ 2027 will begin on Tuesday October 27, with 8 weeks of competition prior to Christmas and a further 4 weeks in February 2027. All games will be hosted at the Geelong Hockey Centre – Stead Park.

• Monday nights: Walking Hockey
• Tuesday Nights: U8, U10, U12, U14
• Wednesday Nights: Senior Mixed
• Thursday Nights: U17 & Mixed Masters
• Friday Nights: Family

Come and Try for Beginners

Summer hockey is the ideal time to #HaveAGo at hockey as the focus is on having fun while keeping active. The games are half field with 7 players per team, so it’s a great environment for those who are beginning their hockey experience, or for those who are returning to the game after some time away.

Hookin2Hockey and Come & Try programs are available so that you can see what hockey is all about before committing to join a team.
