A sub-4-minute mile is running 1.609 km in under four minutes, a benchmark of elite male middle-distance running averaging roughly 15 mph (24 km/h) or 60 seconds per 400m lap. Roger Bannister first broke this barrier on May 6, 1954, with a 3:59.4 time. It requires immense aerobic and anaerobic endurance.

Today, the GALEFORCE RUNNING SQUAD celebrates this achievement - 72 years ago on the 06 May 1954.
