Enata Flying Dutchman in development

Published Fri 08 May 2020

This is copied from a facebook post by Hans Genthe dated 23 April 2020:

"A great project has started, just received the release. We are developing an Enata Flying Dutchman (www.enata.com) in between the class rules, and are currently calculating the boat in detail. The experience of several FD sailors, including Tom, Kilian and, of course, myself, will be incorporated into the boat. The shape will be reworked by our Enata CFD specialists, Stephane for example is THE foil guru from the Hydroptere team.

Due to rational manufacturing in our modern production halls we expect a very competitive price. The moulds for hull, deck, centreboard and rudder are CNC-milled. Ship, rudder and centreboard are built from carbon/epoxy using vacuum infusion techniques.

We design the boat to be very durable and reliable, and is available as a shell for self-assembly or complete. I collect all wishes regarding the arrangement of fittings into a 2D file, which our design team takes over after approval. The production is modern and tightly organized, e.g. all the fittings are drilled in the double bottom with a Kuka robot.

From Dubai the worldwide distribution is no problem. Transport to Hamburg and further service is already largely clarified.
If there is sufficient interest, we also offer a closed trailer - based on my concept, which has proven itself since 1989."
