Wheelchair Floorball Kicks Off in NSW with Inclusive Spirit and a Come & Try Day on August 10

Published Tue 29 Jul 2025

An exciting new chapter has opened in adaptive sport with the official launch of Wheelchair Floorball NSW. In a bid to foster inclusivity, teamwork, and fun, the organisation is hosting its inaugural Come & Try Day on Sunday, 10 August, at Stanhope Leisure Centre, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Wheelchair Floorball is an innovative indoor game played with lightweight sticks and a plastic floorball. Ideal for wheelchair users, it also welcomes able-bodied participants — promoting an inclusive community experience grounded in sport, strategy, and social connection.

Launching Wheelchair Floorball in NSW reflects our commitment to inclusive sport and community engagement. Wheelchair will host a Come & Try Day on 10 August that is open to every age and ability. With all gear provided, it's a perfect opportunity to explore the sport in a fun and supportive environment.

Backed by Floorball Australia and local sports networks, Wheelchair Floorball NSW aims to build regular programming across the state — from grassroots sessions to competitive pathways.

Wheelchair Floorball delivers benefits beyond competition: it promotes physical fitness, teamwork, accessibility, and social inclusion.

Whether you’re picking up a stick for the first time or bringing family, friends, or carers — everyone is welcome. Come try Wheelchair Floorball, meet the NSW community, and help launch something truly inclusive.
