What: A training session in foil and epee for fencers from secondary school age (13 years old+) to adult, with at least one year of fencing experience. Physical preparation, footwork practice and LOTS of fencing with different people. Technical and tactical practice on the piste.
Where: The Fencing Institute, 91 Jack Hinton Drive, Addington (Whiteleigh Ave end, in front of AMI Stadium, Gate A)
Time: 9am – 1.30pm
Cost: $10 for Fencing Mid South members and affiliated members from other regions, $15 for non-members. Attendees will be able to download a footwork app. Please bring cash and pay on the day.
Who will be leading it: Martin Brill & Kate Brill (also participating)
What to bring: Your fencing gear, in good condition, including electric equipment. Lame bibs & clips and FIE blades not required. If you’re going to NZU15/U17s it’s a good chance to practise with the gear you’ll be using.
