Keelboat sailing is a popular activity at East Fremantle Yacht Club.

The Keelboat Section hosts a range of racing and cruising events, catering to sailors of all skill levels and experience. Whether you are new to sailing or a seasoned sailor, we encourage everyone to get involved and become part of our vibrant sailing community.

Regular racing is conducted on Sundays, as well as selected Wednesday and Friday evenings. Sailors of all experience levels are encouraged to join in, develop their skills, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere both on and off the water.

Yachts are divided into four divisions based on performance.  Racing is conducted most weeks throughout the summer on the Swan River, with a smattering of events in the inshore waters of Cockburn Sound and Gage Roads for those looking to venture beyond the river.
 
On Wednesday evenings during the summer sailing season, East Fremantle Yacht Club hosts a social twilight cruise. All keelboats are encouraged to participate, regardless of size or experience. This is not a racing event; however, on a small number of evenings during the middle of the season, a Wednesday Evening Race may be conducted concurrently.
