Eastern Goldfields Little Athletics Centre Strides into a New Season
2025/6 Season marked one of the most significant moments in the history of our junior sport, with Australian Athletics and Little Athletics Australia officially completing the process of national unification. Thanks to favourable weather throughout the summer, our Centre successfully conducted 16 competition days, providing athletes with regular opportunities to compete, improve and enjoy the sport.
Week after week, it was fantastic to see increasing participation, smiling faces, personal best performances and friendships being built both on and off the track.
The continued growth of our Centre remains one of our greatest achievements.
We welcomed 243 registered members, reinforcing that Little Athletics continues to be one of the Goldfields' most popular junior sports.
Our athletes also rewrote the record books, with an incredible 36 club records broken throughout the season.
Behind every one of these achievements is a dedicated team of volunteers.
Our Head Coach, Carly Agot, has once again led an outstanding coaching program while building an enthusiastic team of volunteer coaches who continue to inspire and develop our athletes.
As participation numbers increased, Tuesday training was expanded into junior and senior groups, allowing athletes to receive more targeted coaching. Sunday development sessions for our older athletes also proved invaluable, providing specialised coaching that helped prepare many athletes for State and National competition.
To every coach who volunteered their time this season—Thank you. Your passion and commitment continue to shape the future of our athletes.
2025/6 has undoubtedly been one of the most successful competitive seasons in the history of
Eastern Goldfields Little Athletics Centre.
