OCTOBER SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMP

3 day courses $350 -- includes instruction, boat usage and certificate. ($300.00 for members)

Each participant will need to bring:

·       Spray jacket or/and wetsuit

·       A change of warm clothes

·       Sunscreen and hat

·       Old shoes or rubber boots for sailing

·       A packed lunch and drink (including snacks) Towel, Board shorts or swimmers

Program Schedule

Day 1

Morning: Intro-wind, water, waves, safety, basic rules, Boat Awareness – Lifting, rigging, getting in and out of boat, centreboard, balance, parts of boat, steering, & paddling.

Afternoon: Tacking and Gybing, Capsizing – talk and practice.

Day 2

Morning: Sail trimming, wind direction Points of Sail.

Afternoon: Advanced Points of Sail, Man Overboard drills / On-water games (consolidation).

Day 3

Morning: Sailing drills, assesments and On-Water games.

Afternoon: Mini races – Fun races, on-water games (follow the leader etc)
