The Douglas Sailing Club Inc. is a proud, community-focused, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to

offering the community an accessible way to get out on the water by providing a fun, friendly, and

inclusive environment around sailing. The club is membership based, welcoming experienced to new

sailors through our fortnightly

‘Come and Try

’ Club Days. Our mission is to increase the amount of

activity on and off Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas, and host the opportunity for experienced sailors to

polish up their skills and to introduce new sailors to the sport.

In 2023, our club was revived after numerous years of minimal sailing activity. Since then we

ve hosted

Come n Try Sailing Club Days, building our sailing family up to 52 members, with much maintenance

and upgrades done to the building and land, making the space comfortable, colourful and inviting to be

utilised by its members, with recent news of Douglas Shire Council approving the club’

s 10 year lease!

As we move into 2026, our focus is on growth, sustainability, community and connection with the wind

and ocean. We are excited to introduce a Major Sponsor tier this year, offering new opportunities for
