For the first time ever, AFL9s will be happening at the 2026 Australian Deaf Games! This is an exciting step forward for our community and a fantastic opportunity for more Deaf and hard of hearing players to get involved in a non contact, fast, inclusive and competitive format of the game. We’re excited to announce that Deaf Australia Football will be hosting Deaf community football and will play against Victoria Police Football Club this King’s Birthday Long Weekend! This will be a fantastic opportunity to bring the Deaf and other communities together. We are currently looking for players to represent the Deaf Football team. If you are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, CODA, or an ally of the Deaf community and keen to be part of this exciting match then we would love to hear from you!
