The benefits of attending include meeting and mingling with other dragon boaters, learning from other coaches and sweeps, and experiencing the subtle differences between Peisheng and Champion boats while training in a different environment. 

With assistance from Pat Doogue and others, the program will include:

 

• On-land paddler technique coaching
• On-land sweep instruction and tips
• On-water practical training sessions, including using sweep’s toggles at the start line
• Opportunity for L1 sweeps to be assessed for progression to L2 (paddling sessions will include necessary accreditation components)

 

It is envisaged the above will commence at 9am and finish at 1pm, followed by an informal BBQ lunch.
