Are you not quite ready to move up to the next level of Tackers? Want to practice your skills a little more before moving into a new syllabus? Or simply want to spend more time on the water in a less structured environment without a set curriculum? Then the Darwin Sailing Club's Discover Sailing is for you!

Designed to give kids the opportunity to spend more time on the water in an unstructured environment, with a focus on games and fun as opposed to a set Tackers syllabus. At a cost of only $100 per term, kids can get their confidence up by getting water time in a range of Club dinghies and have the opportunity to meet other kids of all ages and experience levels. The only prerequisite is that they have completed or are currently enrolled in Tackers 1.

The 4th session of every term is a "Come and Try" session, in which kids can bring down their friends and family to show them how much fun they have been having sailing on Fannie Bay. These taster sessions are only $20 per person, the cost of which is discounted from any future course bookings.

If you have a sport voucher, enter the related discount code during the registration process. The physical sport voucher must be displayed to the Club staff before the first session of the course. Full course fee will apply if the sport voucher is not presented.

All kids course graduates are invited to join us at Lake Alexander on 20 July for a graduation Watersports Day. There will be a range of boats, kayaks and watersports equipment, feel free to bring anything of your own as well as your friends, family and something to throw on the BBQ!

Note: This is not an Australian Sailing accredited course and instead is conducted by the school/club/organisation, outside of the Australian Sailing framework.
