ROTAKAT SAILING PROGRAM

  • A safe, recreational learning space
  • For children with intellectual, developmental and / or physical disabilities
  • For children who find it difficult to socialise
  • Offering a sailing experience with qualified skippers on RS Quest dinghies off the beach at the Darwin Sailing Club, Fannie Bay
  • Fostering an educational experience within a relaxed, supported recreational environment adapted to an individual participant’s needs
  • Participants are able to grow in confidence and responsibility whilst learning sailing skills and developing the building blocks for creating interpersonal relationships
  • 12-20 years
  • Need to be competent swimmer

Overview
OutThere Sailing Experience sessions are all about having fun and getting a taste for on water activities. This action-packed program will give you the opportunity to try one or all the following, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddle boarding, powerboating and keelboating. Depending on your club, experience sessions will be held over 2-4 hours.

Prerequisites

Water confident.

Who should do this experience?

This experience is designed for participants who are 12-17 years-old looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with other teenagers.
