• ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Skippers are responsible for ensuring:
  Fenders are used at all times when boats are docked, release at last minute before departure.
  Boats are rigged and prepared...have you checked shackles, figure 8 stopping knots etc.
  Ensure all crew have buoyancy vests.
  Knowledge of weather and tide......Keep in the middle of the channel!...Keep well clear of channel markers.
• COMMUNICATION
  Radio check BEFORE leaving dock on 77.
  Talk with all crew about their role.
  Speak loudly and clearly when making decisions on the boat.
  Report any breakages / incidents ASAP.
  Tell crew the MOB procedure before leaving dock.
• ENJOY!.

MAN OVERBOARD PROCEDURE:

1. RADI0 77 AND ANNOUNCE "THIS IS ELLIOTT 3...WE HAVE A MAN OVERBOARD!"...Repeat 3X
2. SKIPPER ALLOCATES A POINTER WHO POINTS TO WHERE PERSON IS
3. HEAD BOAT INTO WIND
4. DROP SAILS
5. EMPLOY ANCHOR IF NEEDED.

ALL ELLIOTTS TO STOP TRAINING/RACING AND PROCEED TO MOB LOCATION TO ASSIST IN SEARCH!
