Welcome to Southern Investigator Introductory day (full day) Cost of the session: $250 Time: 0900 start and 1600 finish What to bring: Some lunch, warm clothes, wet weather gear if owned (if not no problem we have lots on the boat), a change of clothes for apres sailing refreshments at the CYCSA club bar.
This session would be suitable for someone who has never sailed before or someone who is beginning their sailing training and has done some sailing.
This session is to be conducted on Southern Investigator our CYCSA Marine Academy 13m Beneteau yacht and is going to focus on:
Royal Yachting Association Start Yachting/Competent Crew Skills such as:
Steering & Helming:Understanding boat balance and weather helm
Sail Handling:Setting, reefing, and handing sails
Ropework:Secure knots and rope terminology
Anchoring & Mooring:Safe anchoring and mooring techniques
Safety Procedures:Man overboard, emergency equipment, personal safety
Seamanship:Navigation basics, tides, weather, rules of the road
