Welcome to Southern Investigator Winter Program Training Day 4 full day
Cost of the session: $250
Time: 0900 start and 1600 finish
What to bring: Some lunch, warm clothes, wet weather gear if owned (if not no problem we have lots on the boat), a change of clothes for apres sailing refreshments at the CYCSA club bar.

This session is going to focus on 

• Handling a yacht under power in particular:
  • Preparation for leaving a marina berth
  • Getting a sailing vessel out of a marina pen
  • Briefing of crew for various mooring manoeuvres
  • Use of slip lines to maintain control
  • Bringing a sailing vessel alongside a berth under power 
  • Departing an alonside berth
  • Picking up and dropping a mooring
  • Setting and weighing anchor
• The morning session of this day would consist of mooring up alongside and in marina pens practise in the CYCSA  East and West basins.
• The afternoon session would consist of sailing to the quarantine station area of the Port river and practising anchoring and picking up a mooring there.
