In addition to our usual playing times there has been lots happening both at the Club and elsewhere:

1. Commencing in July we had our Club Championship (Level Play) event which was well supported.  It culminated with Peter Wheatley playing Jim Cowlishaw in one semi-final and Chris Blaxland playing Malcolm Powys in the other semi-final. 2. Div 1 Pennants season has started and our team is holding its own against formidable opponents.  We wish the team luck and happy hooping in its inaugural season.
3. Clare and Ginny have just competed in the NSW Bronze Brooch at Lake Macquarie Croquet Centre.  Clare was defeated in the W knockout semi final and Ginny defeated in the Y final.
4. Malcolm is travelling to Victoria as part of the NSW team competing in the Interstate Shield being held 9-13 September at Victorian Croquet Centre, Cairnlea.  Follow his games via Croquet Scores Australian GC Interstate Shield - Croquet Scores
5. Saturday 26 September we are hosting an AC match between Canberra and Marrickville.  Interested in AC thn come and have a look.

7. Jill Malone is now an accredited GC Referee.
8. Good news stories as reported in Croquet NSW Newsletter.  Congratulations to Tim Allen who is now an accredited Association Croquet Coach and is well on his way to becoming an AC Referee. Congratulations to Sylvia Sylvester recently accredited as a Golf Croquet Referee.  Congratulations to Clare Wilson who is recently accredited as a Level 2 Golf Croquet Coach.
