CNSA Manager Job Description

Criteria for a Cumberland Nepean Softball Association Manager - Representative Team

The Manager is responsible for supporting and ensuring that all aspects of the Teeball/Softball respective representative team are managed for the applicable age group under direction of the CNSA Head Coach. The role has a high administration focus and ensures the wellbeing of all players and officials.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CNSA Head Coach as part of the representative softball program for the respective team
  • Acts as a liaision between parents and coaching staff as well as the CNSA Representative Officers
  • Team administration duties such as: training advice, maintaning contact information for players and parents, maintaining attendance, attending training sessions, ensure players have the correct uniforms as well as other ad hoc administrative duties from time to time
  • Communicating with parents - training schedules, gala day information, fee information (where applicable) and managing conversations between coaches and parents
  • Ensuring a safe environment for all players and officials e.g. team has sunscreen, water, seeking first aid or completing other duties in the best interest of the team
  • Responding to requests from the CNSA Representative Officers and Softball NSW Operations Manager
  • Attend all relevant events as outlines by the Head Coach e.g. Gala Days, Training days and State championships
  • Complete training as required by CNSA, Softball NSW and Softball Australia
  • Work with the CNSA Representative Liaison Officer/s
  • Attend parent / player meegtings as required
  • Other ad hoc requirements as required for the positioin and as set by CNSA

 

Selection Criteria

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be approachable, encouraging, respectful and inclusive.
  • Qualifications in adminsitration/sports management ideal, but not essential
  • Previous experience managing teams at Representative Level 
  • Available for both days of the State Championships
  • Demonstrated strong working relationships with others such as support staff, managers, umpires
