Women's Indoor Hockey 2026/27 – Expression of Interest

With the 2026/27 Indoor Hockey season fast approaching, we are now looking to gauge interest from our Women's players, as well as coaches, managers, team officials and others who may be interested in helping out.
The Women's Indoor competition is scheduled to commence in October 2026, with the current starting dates being:
- Supers Women: Tuesday 3 November 2026
- Indoor League 1 Women: Wednesday 28 October 2026
- Indoor League 2 Women: Sunday 18 October 2026
- Indoor League 3 Women: Thursday 29 October 2026
The senior indoor competitions run through to March 2027, with Supers and Indoor League teams playing 10 rounds followed by semi-finals and grand finals for the top-ranked teams.
This survey is not a commitment at this stage. It is simply an opportunity for us to understand who is interested in playing and who is willing to help, so we can start planning teams, coaches, managers, team officials and umpiring requirements for the season.
For Players
We want to know who would like to play indoor hockey, and which level you would be interested in. The Women's competitions include Supers, Indoor League 1 and Indoor League 2, with grades and team numbers ultimately determined through the nomination process.
For Coaches & Officials
We are also looking for people who may be willing to put their hand up and help with:
- Coaching
- Team management
- Umpiring
- Other support roles around the team
Umpiring will be particularly important, as teams outside the grades where Hockey ACT appoints umpires will be required to fulfil their own umpiring commitments throughout the season. Missed umpiring commitments can result in financial penalties and, for repeated failures, competition points being deducted.
