The under 18 Girls have recently competed in their State Championships in Lismore. After being relegated from Div 1 in 2019 the girls were strong favourites to make their way back up into Div 1

The girls played strongly in their pool games and were undefeated after their 1st 4 games

5-0 win vs North West Sydney 2

5-0 win vs Newcastle 2

3-0 win vs Hockey New England

4-2 win vs Sydney East 

This placed the girls first in their pool and a semi final against the home team Far North Coast.

After a tight tussle the scores were locked 1-1 for most of the game until Far North Coast squeezed in the winner with a few minutes remaining before fulltime. A draw would have been enough to put the girls into the final but they couldn't get the late equalizer.

Far North Coast went on to lose the final vs Grafton 1-0

Ella Carr and Mackenzie Needham from Gosford Hockey club were selected in the 2021-22 Hockey NSW AAP squad at the conclusion of the Tournament also
